BCN FACILITY GRAND OPENING
__________________________________________________________________________
It was a beautifully sunny day with people arriving from 11am onwards. We had Sally, our Board
Chairperson open the ceremony then Laings and Rotary sharing their comments about the new
facility. Lynda gave an awesome speech between Belfast School students performing and singing.
Finishing with cutting the ribbon and a blessing over the building and the land. Invited guests
were treated to nibbles prepared by Nicole, an OSCAR attendee from way back.

OUR NEW BUILDING....
Due to be on Sheldon Park site 26th November 2013
The Belfast Community Network is pleased that FINALLY we will have a transitional community facility on site at Sheldon Park (between the pool and bowling club carpark) with an expected opening mid November! 
Laing Homes will be building the facility - http://www.laing.co.nz/
Phoenix Architects - http://pxa.co.nz/Index.htm have been contracted
by the BCN Executive Committee to undertake the work.
Financial contributors:
Canterbury Community Trust - $100,000
Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust - $233,000
Bendigo Valley Trust - $12,000
Belfast Community Trust - $30,000
Capital Endowment Fund - $50,000
We sincerely thank the Trustees from all of these funders for supporting the Belfast community. The BCN looks forward to a great community event to open this facility!
